As two Livingston County natives, we started Lakeland decks because we saw a common issue with homeowners and their properties. We noticed that there was a lack of available skilled laborers in our area, and a lot of homeowners that needed help. We kept hearing from friends and family “ I just can’t get anyone out here to help me with this project…” Well, we have experience remodeling our own homes, building decks, sheds, and more. We decided to combine our personal experience as carpenters with our shared love of the great outdoors we have here in Michigan, and build some decks! We also noticed that with the rise in price of lumber these days, that most people are favoring the idea of replacing their current 15-20 year old decking, with a composite material and matching railing systems. We have transformed many decks that had rotted and unsafe deck boards, into show room quality outdoor living spaces. Our goal is to become your local decking experts, while building relationships everywhere we work. We believe that there is always room to grow and learn, improve and to adapt to the current times we are all living in. So if you are curious about a new deck or giving that back deck or front porch a face-lift, give us a call!
